Allen
Jenkins
Mar 11, 1964 — Dec 14, 2022
Allen DeWain Jenkins was the only child born to the late Hattie Langston-Jenkins,
on March 11, 1964. After his Mother's untimely passing in a car accident, while he
was yet still a small boy, Allen DeWain was adopted and reared by his Maternal
Grandmother, the late Lindie Mae Langston, along with his two Aunts, who were
small children, as well, Yvonne and Shirley.
Allen DeWain was educated in the Humphreys County Public Schools Systems. As a
teenager, he also attended the Mississippi Job Corps Center. Moreso, "Skool-Boy",
as many may know him, without a doubt, received quite a bit of knowledge on the
Streets of Life. But, most importantly, he was saved and had a personal relationship
with God, Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Allen DeWain transitioned from his earthly body, after a lengthy illness, to be pre-
sent with the Lord, on Wednesday, December 14, 2022. Welcoming him to his
heavenly home and embracing him in their arms and smiles are: his Mom, Hattie,
Grandma, Lindie, Aunt Cleotha "Bump"' Langston, Uncle J.T. Langston, and many
other ancestors.
Wain, affectionately known by his family, leaves to celebrate his life with love and
remembrance, two Aunts: Yvonne L. (James) Berry of Yazoo City, MS and Shirley
Mae Langston, of Louise, MS, whom he resided with and was cared by during his
failing health; his first cousins, whom he loved dearly and proudly called his nieces
and nephews: Sanette L. Langston of Flowood, MS; Jamie R. Langston of Yazoo City,
MS; James E. Berry, Jr. (Teyquanna) of Suffolk, VA; Stephen F. Langston and
MeLindle M. Langston, both of Louise, MS; and Eddie D. Berry (Ren), of Oak Harbor,
Washington. In addition, he leaves to morn his transitioning: his great nieces and
nephews: Breana L. Young, Janiece Berry, Jamiyah Berry, Marcus Ellis, Jr., Wayne
Young, Jr., and Jule Berry. And, a host of relatives and friends.
