Annie Fred
Vaughns
Oct 4, 1949 — Jun 3, 2021
Annie Fred Vaughns was born on October 4, 1949, to the late Tommie and Sorressa (Scott) Vaughns in
Madison County Ms. She attended Lynwood High School in Pickens, MS. When Annie was a young
adult, she moved to Memphis, TN.
Annie was most happy when she was surrounded by her family, especially her children and
grandchildren. They would spend countless hours laughing, joking, and reminiscing about the good
times they shared. Her love of children was obvious because she always took care of them, even the
children in the neighborhood.
Annie had an excellent work ethic and that was displayed any where she worked.
Annie is preceded in death by her parents, four sisters: Mary Turnage, Susie Vaughns, Cebell Euell and
Emma J Redmond; and five brothers: L.V., Calvin, Lee Andrew, Amos, and Johnnie Vaughns.
Annie departed her earthly home on Wednesday, June 3, 2021. Annie leaves to mourn her passing a
son, Gregory Vaughns Sr. (Kimberly), two daughters, Marquitta Vaughns and Kanyetta Vaughns, her
sister Ellarine (Earl)Williams, a brother in-law Hudell Euell, eight grandchildren, and a host of cousins,
nieces, nephews, and relatives.
Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many
mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a
place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. John
