January 14, 1994 - May 18, 2021

Brittaney Malia Demus quietly and so gently entered into this world January 14, 1994, to Mr. and
Mrs. Raymond Demus.
Brittaney departed this world on May 18, 2021. She attended Goodman Pickens Elementary and
Yazoo County High School, where she graduated in May of 2013. She attended Holmes
Community College after high school and majored in Cosmetology and graduated in June of 2016.
Brittaney was a member of Ever Increasing Faith COGIC under Elder Charles Jefferson and
baptized by Reverend Mark Calhoun.
Brittaney is preceded in death by her father, Raymond Demus and grandparents, Cornelia R.
Demus and Connora Johnson.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her parents Nancy Demus Brown and Alton Brown of Yazoo
County, MS; beloved sister, Emberly Demus; brothers, Alton Brown, Jr. and Joshua Brown all of
Yazoo County, MS; grandparents, Ben and Mery Swan of Benton, MS; three aunts, Rita Swan
McRae of Yazoo County, MS, Clarissa (Travis) Collins of Bentonia, MS, Barbara (James) Berry of
San Antonio, TX; six uncles, Ben Swan, III of Yazoo County, MS, Terry (Alice) Swan of Bentonia, MS,
Aundrae (Evelyn) Swan of Bentonia, MS, Tierre Swan of Gluckstadt, MS, Lucious Demus, Jr. of
Bentonia, MS and Connora Adams of Jackson, MS; a special friend, Brandon Owens and a
multitude of other cousins, family and friends.
