Carla Diane Robinson was born November 30, 1962 in Yazoo City, MS to Willie Edward Robinson and Margie
Hatchett Robinson. She transitioned to her heavenly home on Wednesday June 16, 2021. Carla was the
youngest of four children. She was baptized as a Catholic. She was a member of St. Francis-St. Mary Catholic
Church where she lived a faith filled life.
She graduated from Yazoo City High School in 1980. She attended Tougaloo College, and Jackson State
University where she received a degree in Social Work. She later attended Hinds Community and Mississippi
College where she received her nursing degree. She was employed by Magnolia Senior Care as an LPN, and
at the time of her death had been there for 26 years where she was a loyal and dedicated worker.
She was preceded in death by her mother Margie Hatchett Robinson.
Carla memories will forever be cherished by her father Willie Edward "Manhattan" Robinson of Yazoo City;
brother Willie "Woody" (Edith) Robinson of Jackson, MS sisters Debra (LC) Tucker of Jackson, MS and
Rosalind Robinson Bonds of Avondale, AZ. Her only nephew Damon (Twana) Robinson of Clinton, MS who
was like another brother and whom she helped raised. Her nieces Lori Bush of Baltimore, MD; Monica
Marshall, Trudy Tucker, Ashley Priest of Jackson, MS and Tamela Tucker of Houston, TX; Le'Andera Robinson
of Pearl, MS; great niece Dania Robinson of Clinton, MS; Krishna Griffin of Pearl, MS; great nephews Javlyn
Marshall of Jackson, MS and Daylen Robinson of Clinton, MS; her aunt Robertine Richardson of Ridgeland,
MS; uncles Billy Richardson and Henry Richardson of St. Louis, MO. She also leaves to cherish her memories
her very best friend Georgia "Cookie" Grady who was more like a sister, and a host of loving cousins and
friends.
