Obituary

IN T HE B EGINNING
On Tuesday, October 9, 1956 in a small rural community known as
Hammond on the East side of the Yazoo River in Yazoo County MS
Emma T. Jackson-Bullock and Wardell Bullock, Sr., welcomed their
fourth child and first daughter Carolyn into this world.

Carolyn gave her life to Christ at a very early age and joined New
Pilgrim Rest under the guidance of Rev. A. B. Jones. She remained an
active member until her health began to fail. She attended Yazoo City
High School and graduated with the class of 1974. Like most young
ladies she believed in family and in the institution sanctioned by God.
She was united in Holy Matrimony to Frizell Casey on October 23,
1976. Through this union two handsome sons were born, Marcus Casey
and Marlon Casey, and she was gifted with a bonus son, Richie Moore.
Carolyn was employed at Southern Bag Corporation until her health
began to fail and at that point she reluctantly retired. She was an active
member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 201 serving in various
positions. Her most recent position was First Vice President.
Carolyn was a very caring and giving person, a good wife, mother,
trustworthy friend, devoted sister, caring aunt, and an excellent cook.
H ER D EPARTURE
And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Look! God's dwelling place is now
among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God
himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their
eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of
things has passed away." Revelation 21: 3 - 4
Carolyn believed in God and family. She would often have gatherings
for her family and friends. On Tuesday, December 6, 2022, around
10:52 a.m. her family and friends were all gathered to welcome her home
from UMMC Hospital, but the wind of everlasting life blew into her life,
and she was swept away into the arms of the Lord before the doors of
the American Medical Response Ambulance were open.
Carolyn leaves to cherish her many loving memories, her husband of 46
years Frizell Casey, son, Marlon Casey of Yazoo City, MS; bonus son,
