Obituary

A Time to be Born .... Charles was born on June 15, 1967 to the late Jessie C. Edwards, Sr. and the late
Margarette Blackmon Edwards.
Charles received his educaon from Holly Blu Line Consolidated School District. He furthered his
education at Holmes Community College where he received a AA certificate in Air Condition and
Refrigeration.
Charles was employed with The Yazoo County School District as an Alternative Teacher, Bus Driver and
Assistant Coach. He inspired a lot of students to do their best and be the best that God would have them to
be. He was well known in his community. He loved people and loved trying to encourage everyone. He had
a love for singing, fishing and sports before his health failed him. Charles loved his family. He would call on
all of his Nieces and Nephews and tell them what he wanted done and they were there for him. They
would often say, C Lo is calling. The family has a bond like none other. He shall truly be missed.
A Time to Plant ..... Charles united with Peter Rock Church of God In Christ under the leadership of
Eld. Joseph J. Potts until his demise. He later served under the current Pastor, Elder Samuel Lee Anderson
where he was appointed a Deacon of the church and a lead singer which was his joy of doing.
A Time to Die ... Charles was peacefully called from labor to eternal rest on Thursday, June 3, 2021 at
the Baptist Hospital in Jackson, MS. Charles was preceded in death by his parents; Jessie C . Edwards, Sr.
and Margarette Edwards, brothers: Eddie James Holmes, Jessie James Blackmon, Joenathan Blackmon, and
Don Keith Edwards.
A Time to Cry ...... Charles leaves to cherish his memories, 2 Sons; Carlos M Edwards of Memphis, TN
and Cherokee Edwards of Yazoo City, MS.; 5 Sisters: Addie Joe Edwards, Mary (William )Richardson; and
Dorothy (Wendell) Cork of Yazoo City, MS; Dist. Missionary Margarite (Randy) Owens and Sandra K.
Edwards of Holly Bluff, MS; 4 Brothers: John L. (Barbarra) Blackmon of Jackson, MS; Gary (Jelisa) Edwards
of Yazoo City, MS; Jessie C. (Linda) Edwards, Jr., and Bobby J. Edwards of Holly Bluff, MS; a niece that was
raised as his sister; Evelyn Parson of Yazoo City, MS; A God - Sister, Yvonne Woolfolk of Yazoo City, MS; A
niece that was very close to him; Ginger Moten of Louisiana; A nephew raised as his brother; Jeffrey C
(Cynthia) Edwards, of Yazoo City, MS; A special Aunt, Pearl Rivers Murphy of Kentucky, 2 Special Cousins
that was raised as his brothers: Bobby Blackmon of Jackson, MS and Terrell Wyatt of Texas; A friend that
was closer to him as a brother; Ronald Martin of Yazoo City, MS; a hosts of Uncles, Aunts, Nieces,
Nephews, Cousins and Friends 2 Grandchildren: Allison and Bri'Ella.
