Mrs. Clara Mae Jackson "better known as Pee Wee" was born to the late Tom Stovall and the late Jessie Lee
Tucker on August 16, 1944 in Tylertown, MS. She was one of four siblings (three sisters and one brother).
She grew up in Yazoo County, MS where she attended school and met her husband, the late Lonnie Lee
Jackson.
She was a woman of faith. Clara was baptized during her childhood and confessed her faith in Christ at an
early age uniting with Morning Star Baptist Church in Eden, Mississippi, under the leadership of Reverend
C.R. Rush. She kept her faith in Christ and changed her membership to New Hope Baptist Church under
the leadership of Reverend James Thomas and Reverend Willie McCullum where she served as a faithful
member until her health began to decline.
Clara was a hardworking and dedicated worker for King's Daughters Hospital in Yazoo City, MS and retired
after 30 plus years of service. In Clara's spare time, she loved singing in the choir and one of her favorite
songs was What a Friend We Have in Jesus. She also loved to watch some of the oldie's westerns on
television, but mostly she loved, loved, loved to fish which gave her great joy.
Never meeting a stranger, Clara took care of and shared her love to everyone including her love for dogs and
one in particular Ms. Gigi. She was a true matriarch of the Jackson family and was very much loved by
everyone.
Clara was called home for eternal rest on May 18, 2022 at the St. Dominic's Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi.
Jesus said to Clara, I am the resurrection and the life, He who believes in me will live, even though he dies;
and whoever lives and believes in me will never die." John 11:25
