And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away."
Revelation 21:4 KJV
Cortez was born on March 10, 1973 to Lavon Dennis-Walls and Earl Rivers, Jr. at Sharkey Issaquena Hospital in Rolling Fork, MS. He was raised by Larry Joe Earl Walls, whom he lovingly called Daddy. He was fondly called by many as Tez.

After relocating to Texas he United with New Home M.B. Church under the leadership of Reverend C.D. Shelton where he served on the Brotherhood Ministry and President of the Usher Board.
Cortez was a hard worker and held employment at State Farm Insurance for twenty years. He was employed with Uber as a driver until his passing.
