Deidra
Fleming
Nov 5, 1975 — Jan 9, 2022
Deidra Janel Fleming was born November 5, 1975, in Vicksburg,
MS, to Lavonne Cummins and Gregory Leo Fleming. Diedra
attended Yazoo City High School and completed her studies in
1995.
After school, Deidra worked for McDonalds for five (5) years. She
left because of health issues, and spent most of her days watching
TV, working puzzles and keeping her favorite niece busy on her
tablet.
Deidra confessed her love for Christ and joined the Tulane
Missionary Baptist Church, where she served faithfully until her
health failed. Deidra participated in all activities of the church –
singing in the choir, youth programs, tutorial programs, Sunday
School, and Bible Study. She loved doing service and helping.
The angels in heaven called Deidra home on January 9, 2022,
peacefully from home with her family by her side.
Deidra leaves to mourn her loving parents, Lavonne and Gregory
(Leo); sister Danielle, and niece Danija. She also leaves her loving
aunts, Doris Harris and Doreatha Houston of Chicago, IL; Irene
Fleming, Valerie Naylor, Minnie Hudson, Mary Wills, and
Shinelle Taylor, all of Yazoo City; Sandra Course and Patricia
McGhee of Jackson; and Joyce Williams of Lake Worth, FL; her
uncles, McKinley Cummins, Sr. and William Cummins (Alice) of
Chicago, IL; Jimmie Fleming (Clara) and Richard Fleming of
Jackson; John Fleming, Ruben Fleming, Ricky Fleming, Carl
Fleming, and Marvin Galloway, all of Yazoo City; and Michael
Thomas of Wichita, KS.
