Dorothy ( Jean )Richardson Lee was born to the parents of I.J. and Onesti Euell on July 9, 1960.
Dorothy was the seventh child born to this union. She was called 'Jean' by most of
her family and close friends. Many memories of Jean were
surrounded around Water Grove A.M. E. Church, where
her mother took her and the children. Jean confessed her life to Christ in 1966 and joined
Water Grove A.M.E. Church. She was active in church activities
and was a faithful member of the church choir. Jean received her
education at Kings Elementary and Benton High School.
Dorothy 'Jean' moved from Benton to Yazoo City where she
worked as a CNA for over 30 years. Dorothy never met a
stranger. She loved people and they loved her. She kept in touch
with many of her childhood friends. If you needed to get in touch
with anyone, call Dorothy 'Jean.' She knew everyone and everyone
knew her.
Dorothy 'Jean' was preceded in death by her parents, her
husband, Robert E. Lee; two brothers, Stanley and Herbert;
and three sisters, Brenda, Robbin, and Barbara. She was the
mother of three children but she helped to rear many children.
Her house was always alive with laughter.
Dorothy 'Jean' leaves to mourn her passing : three children,
Gemiki, Kenyetta, and Dennis; ten God-children, Darrius,
Mitrease, Lydia, Pansy, Angela, Candace, Lashonda, Mike, Reggie,
and Kim; three sisters, Mary, Shirley, and Betty (Donnie); two
