Elisha James Davis was born in Yazoo County, MS on September 6, 1960 to
the late Curtis Davis and Christine Davis. He gave his life to Christ in 2011 at
Cypress Grove Missionary Baptist Church. He transitioned into his new
home to be with the Lord on October 4, 2020.
He was a Mississippi native and was well loved in his small hometown of
Pickens, MS. Elisha graduated from Durant Attendance Center and later
moved to Miami, Florida. He was married to the late Dianna Davis and had
one daughter.
He worked for Canton Concrete for many years. Despite his sickness, he
always made time to be with his family and showed them much love and
support.
Elisha leaves behind one daughter; Zenobia Davis, one grandson; Zavien J.
Davis; Five brothers: JC Rodger of Pickens, Curtis (Angie) Davis Jr of
Vaughan, MS; Tyrone (Jasmine) Davis of Kosciusko, MS; Alonzo Chambers,
Lexington, MS; Maine Crayton of Pickens, MS. Seven sisters: Mary (Larry)
Harrison of Pickens, MS; Bertha (Henry) Harper of Vaughan, MS; Lucille
(Ben) Langston of Vaughan, MS; Priscilla Chambers of Lexington, MS;
Earnestine Davis of Milwaukee; Annette (Isaia) of Pickens, MS; Dianna of
Pickens, MS; He was preceded in death by his mother & father, sister. He
leaves behind a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
