Mrs. Erma Harris was born to the late Cecil and Rosie Streeter on November 22, 1952 in Holmes County. She departed
this life on Saturday June 12, 2021. She and her brother Willie C. was raised by a loving couple named Tenora and Robert
Son Mcclain. Her maternal parents and that Lovely couple that raised her all preceded her in death.
Erma Jean graduated from Tchula Attendance Center in 1971, and later in her life she received her Certification in
Certified Nursing Assistance. In 1987 she married Nick Harris.
Erma Jean affectionally known as "Jean" and " Goose" accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of Good
Hope Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Buckner. She was a faithful member until she moved
to Chicago, Ill for over 12 years then later moved on to Milwaukee, WS where she remained for 15 years working as a
Certified Nursing Assistance. She remained in WS until her mother's health failed her and she moved back home to
Mississippi to assist with her care. Upon returning to Mississippi she began to worship at Good Hope MB Church and
later begin to worship at New Pilgrims Rest M.B. Church. After returning to Mississippi she begin to work at Martha
Coker Convalescent Home as a Certified Nursing Assistance where she was a Faithful and Dedicated worker who loved
her patients, co-workers and her job. She remained at Martha Coker for 8 years then transferred to the Care Inn as a
Certified Nursing Assistance in 2001 where she remained a faithful, loyal, loving and dedicated worker, one whom loved
her patients they all meant the world to her. She had 2 very special patients at Yazoo Rehabilitation and Health Care that
she always went that extra mile or two for them, they meant the world to her. (MW and BW). Her Love for people was
Awe-inspiring. She remained at Yazoo City Health and Rehabilitation for over 20 years and worked until the angel
whispered come on and rest.
Erma Jean leaves to cherish her loving memories her children whom she loved so much Stephanie (Steve) Edwards,
Cortez (Debra) Streeter and Marcus (Schikora) Streeter. Two Sisters Minnie Lee (Leo) Tenart, Leo Tenart proceeded her
in death and Annie Lee Streeter, two brothers Willie C. Streeter and Clifford (Cheryl) Streeter, 10 grandchildren, Laquita

Streeter, Taniah, Jadarious, Marcus Jr., Madison, Zcoria, Nija, Sherry, Terry, Marcus, Quincy and Zaden. 5 great-
grandchildren: Hailey, Zayde, Skylar, Jalayiah and Queen. Her Step-Children which she called her very own whom called

her "Moma Jean" and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. Her Sweet Humble Spirit, Loving
Heart and Beautiful Smile attracted many to her.
