Obituary

~GADDIS HAYMER, SR.~
September 11, 1949 ~ March 11, 2020
September 11, 1949 was a proud baby boy was born to
Gaddis Haymer, Sr. and Carry "Lucy" G.H. Brown. This
baby boy would, with his parent's guidance would grow up to
be a handsome fun loving "IRON MAN".
Gaddis was a member of the Yazoo City Training School
Class of 1969. He was quite the Athlete and got along
with his classmates.
Accepting Christ at as early age, he trusted the Lord with
all his heart. He was an active member of his church that
he truly loved. He served as a Doorkeeper (Usher) and held
his post faithfully until his health failed.
Devoted to being a good provider for his family, he
worked several jobs before being employed at King
Daughter's Hospital. He was a loyal and dedicated worker
there from 1980 until his retirement. Retirement life didn't last
long, he worked PRN until his health failed.
During his leisure time he enjoyed spending time at family
functions, fixing anything that was broken, riding his
motorcycle crew The Zoo City Cruisers, and spending quality
time at Dirt Cheap.
In the still of the morning of March 11, 2020 his body was
tired and ready to rest. He left this earthly home to enter a
home not built by man's hands. The time had come for him to
take the same path his parents, brother Joe and Sister Hattie
took.
Surviving him and holding on to all the fun memories are:

Audrey (Carlos)Jones, Tawana (George) Spann, Susie Haymer
of Jackson, MS, Shalonda Harris of Indianapolis IN , Son:
