Obituary

Gloria Wallace was born Gloria Jean Cooper on May 17, 1953, in Holmes County, MS to the late Simmie Cooper Jr and the late
Mary T. Cooper. She was one of nine children. Her early childhood years was in Holmes County until her family
moved to Yazoo County, MS in 1972. The remainder of her coming of age resides in Yazoo City where she graduated from
Yazoo City High School in the early 1970s. She was employed through Southern Bags for many years until she was no longer
physically able to work and became a homemaker. She was a loving mother, sister and auntie. She was very outspoken and held firm to her beliefs. Many people knew her by her nickname "Tip." She was full of love, hope and faith. She committed her life to Christ and was baptized as a young adult. She enjoyed cooking and hosting family gatherings. She developed a passion for expressing her thoughts and feelings through scripture readings and writings. She also enjoyed daily telephone calls to family and friends. Her most favorable moments were spending time
with her children and grandchildren. Gloria was joined in holy matrimony to her first husband Otha Jones of Benton, MS. Together Gloria and Otha gave birth to Mirenzo, LaCrystal and Charlie Jones. After resolution of her first marriage, Gloria later married her second husband Jerome Wallace
of Cuba, AL. Together Gloria and Jerome gave birth to Germonique Wallace and the late Ronald Wallace. Together they both raised
Mirenzo, LaCrystal, Charlie, Germonique, Ronald and Moeisha. On February 14, 2022, Gloria Wallace departed from her earthly
life and was born into eternity. She was preceded in death by her husband Jerome Wallace and son, Ronald Wallace. She was also
preceded in death by her parents Simmie Cooper, Jr and Mary T. Cooper; and her four siblings; Frank Cooper, Sarah Cooper, Virginia
Cooper and Faye Ann Noel. Gloria is survived by partner Ozell Lewis. Special memories and unconditional love for Gloria will forever
remain in our hearts. She leaves behind to cherish five children; Mirenzo (Youlanda) Jones, LaCrystal Jones, Charlie Jones, Germonique Wallace and Moeisha Nolan; Twenty grandchildren; Akemi (Kereiotta) Jones-Smith, Azora Jones, Alyese Jones, Alona
Jones, Devin Bryant, Jr, Devionna Bryant, Dezaria Bryant, Devion Bryant, Derrick Bryant, Candlynn James, Ja'Mila Simmons, Ja'Mari
Simmons, Ja'Layah Simmons, Natalja Simmons, Raniyah Wallace, Raleyia Wallace, Raylan Wallace, Mason Nolan, Timothy Shelby, Jr
and Armani Nolan; Two Great-Grandchildren; Khaz Smith and Kay'riee Bledsoe; Twelve siblings: Ivory Nelson, Mary Ann Cooper,
Sara Cooper, Diana Cooper, Annie Thelma Robinson, Heather Cooper, Ethel Mae (Isaiah) Henderson, Eddie Mae Noel, Jackie
Noel, Annie Noel, Simmie Noel, Bennie Noel and Lewis Jackson; two aunts: . Her memory will always be kept alive and cherished by a
host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
