GREGORY JEROME JOHNSON

Gregory Jerome Johnson was the fourth
born son to the late Luther "Carl B" and
Ann Johnson on September 8, 1973, in
Rolling Fork, MS. Gregory transitioned from life on
Wednesday, November 3, 2021. He was
preceded in death by his father, Luther "Carl B"
Johnson, his maternal grandparents Henry
"Honey" and Cora Wyatt, and his parental
grandparents Marion and Addie Johnson, and
Ruth Pope. Gregory accepted Christ at an early age at Union Baptist Church in
Holly Bluff, MS. He attended school in Holly Bluff then continued
and graduated from Yazoo City High School Class of 1993. Gregory
played basketball at Yazoo City High School "Top 5" and was also Mr.
YCHS 1993. Greg is best remembered for his great personality, jokes, laughter,
dancing, passion for basketball, and his family/friends. He was also
known by nicknames, such as, Top 5, Fat Mack,
and Greggo. He leaves an abundance of memories to
cherish with his wife Jessica Johnson of
Southaven, MS: a loving mother Ann Johnson of
Benton, MS; three (3) sons Darrius Moore of
Yazoo City, MS, Jabaries Johnson of Jackson,
MS, Gregory Johnson Jr. of Ridgeland, MS; four
(4) daughters Nachesa Johnson of Grand Prairie,
TX, Kyler Johnson of Ridgeland, MS, Mariah
Johnson of Fort Knox, KY, Madisyn Young of
Yazoo City, MS; three (3) step

-children Ariyana
James, Jamari Wilcox, and Micheala Wilcox of
Southaven, MS; five (5) grandchildren Makenzi,
Masyn, and Ma'Hari Johnson, Aniyah Starks, and Cheris McCray; one(1)
sister Anita (Darius) Thomas of Clinton, MS; four (4) brothers Bobby
Blackmon of Jackson, MS, Tommie (Pamela) Johnson of Indianola, MS,
Freddie (Nashae) Johnson of Yazoo City, MS, Billy ( Natasha) Johnson of
Yazoo City, MS; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins,
extended family, and friends.
