Hallie was born to the late Marion Wilson Melton and Mary Alice Melton. She is also preceded in death by her husband John Woodrow Tyler, Jr.  a son John Woodrow Tyler, III and daughter Mandy Tyler.

She is survived by one sister , Carolyn Kirk and two daughters, Jana (Timmy) McDaniel and Dana Tyler. Six Grandchildren, Tyler Bennett, John Bennett, Mallory Williams, Savannah Bennett, Will Woodell, Katie Woodell and 7 Great Grandchildren.

Mrs. Tyler was a stay at home, loving mother throughout her life. She loved the Lord and adored and loved her children and grandchildren. Anyone who knew Tilly loved her, aka Big Red Squirrel.
