HENRY LEE WILLIAMS
August 31, 1969 ~ January 30, 2020
Henry Lee Williams, loving son, brother, father, grandfather, uncle, relative, friend and warrior made his heavenly transition on Thursday, January 30, 2020. He was born the youngest of four children to Harvey Sr. and the late, great Nellie Mae Williams in Yazoo City, MS on August 31, 1969.
H e received his education from Yazoo City Public Schools and graduated with the Yazoo City High School Class of 1987. At an early age, he accepted Christ at Shady Grove MB Church. He later joined Word of Truth Full Gospel under the leadership of the late Pastor Kenneth Benjamin Sr., where he rededicated his life to Christ and faithfully attended until God called him home.
He was employed at Southern Bag and Comfort Tech for several years, then later continued as an entrepreneur (earth moving, landscaping and gardening). Affectionately known as Pip, he always loved to laugh, tell jokes, and have a good time. He was a fond-spirited person, who loved life and his family and friends. He lovingly irritated his nieces and nephews. He had a very special relationship with all of them, especially Chelsea and Samuel. He also had a close bond with his sisters Debra and Joyce, and brother Harvey. He was known for raising German Shepherds, playing dominoes, and being dressed to the nines. Pip loved to sing praise and worship songs in his own church and in other churches. One of his favorite songs was 'Worth'. An avid sports fan, Pip loved the Chicago Bulls and even 'met' his favorite player of all time Michael Jordan # 23.
W e will miss Pip and his memories will be forever cherished by his dad Harvey Sr.; his siblings, Harvey Jr. (Linda) Williams, Debra Crook, and Joyce (Henry) Campbell; his children, Schcora Williams, Zarrius Collins, Jocelyn Boone, Jalena Allen, Nyla Williams and Kamden Williams; his grandchildren, Ayden, McKentlee, Kayden, Evan and Rylan; his nieces and nephews, Kaneilia, Chris, Janella, Chelsea, Zahra, Samuel, Gabriel, Gabriella and Ly'Nell; his spiritual mother, Pastor Herticene Benjamin; and a host of other aunts, uncles, great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
