On the morning of January 19, 2021, the angel of silence entered the home of Isaac Nathaniel Scott,
II, and with chilly fingers sealed the lips as he gently transitioned. His soul winged its flight from the
world of sin, sorrow, and pain, to a place of eternal rest.
Isaac Nathaniel Scott, II, was born to Isaac Nathaniel Scott, Sr. and Eddie Catherine Scott. He was the
youngest of five children. He was born when his father was pastoring St. Luke Church of God in
Christ, Benton, MS. Under the leadership of his father, the late Superintendent I. N. Scott. Isaac
worshipped God at Gospel Temple, Ackerman, MS, St. Paul, Belzoni, MS, St. Luke, Greenwood, MS,
and Faith Temple. In 2009, at the demise of his father, he served under the leadership of
Superintendent Samuel Sago until 2014. In 2015 until his death, he served under the leadership of
Elder David Watkins, Sr. As he matured, he developed a passion for God's word.
As a youth, he participated in various capacities in the church. He was a member of the sunshine
band, purity class, and bible bowl participant. As a teenager, Isaac was one of the drummers and a
choir member. He loved music, led songs in the choir and continued to sing until his transition.
Isaac attended Davis Elementary School. He played the saxophone in Greenwood High School
Marching Band. He was a proud 1997 Graduate of the Greenwood High School. He attended
Mississippi Delta Community College and Northwest Community College. He began his working
career at Dollar Tree and later obtained a passion for tires. He became a well
-
known tire salesman.
He was loved by many, as a child, as a teenager, and a caring/sharing adult. He was a person of
humor, loved his mom, children, family, and friends.
Isaac was united in holy matrimony to Rolanta Queensha Gardner on May 23, 2011. He was
preceded in death by his father, the late Superintendent I. N. Scott and sister, Catrina L. Scott.
