Reflection of Life

Jacqueline Doss was born December 11, 1966.  She was the oldest child of Curtis and the late Annie Ruth Bailey of Vaiden, Mississippi.

Jacqueline attended Vaiden High School in Vaiden, Mississippi, where she was a 1984 graduate. In 1989, Jacqueline received her Bachelor's of Science Degree from Jackson State University in Criminal Justice.  In 2004, Jacqueline received her Master's of Arts Degree from Jackson State University in Sociology.

Jacqueline was a longtime employee of Jackson State University where she served as the online admissions/financial aid specialists for JSUOnline.  Jacqueline previously held positions in the Office of Admissions and the Office of Financial Aid.

Jacqueline was preceded in death by her mother, her sister, Brittany Bailey and her grandparents, William Charles and Dollie Ruth Collins. On Friday, April 10, 2020, Jacqueline made her transition.

Jacqueline leaves to cherish the warmth of her presence: two beautiful daughters, Jerrionna (Martin) Powell of Macon, Georgia and Brionna Doss of Jackson, Mississippi.  A wonderful and devoted ex-husband, Jerry Doss of Jackson, Mississippi; a special Aunt, Dianne (Mark) Thorne of Byram, Mississippi; one sister, Tangela (Leroy) Beddingfield of Byram, Mississippi; one brother, Kelsey (Tisha) Bailey of Madison, Mississippi; a father, Curtis Bailey of Vaiden, Mississippi.

She also leaves to cherish her memories: two beautiful grandchildren, Skylar and Kensley Powell of Macon, Georgia; five nephews: Javonte Beddingfield of Orlando, Florida; Keyshawn Beddingfield and Noah Beddingfield of Byram, Mississippi; Kelsey Bailey Jr. and Kyle Bailey of Madison, Mississippi; two nieces, Kelsiah Bailey of Madison, Mississippi and Madison Beddingfield of Byram, Mississippi.  She also leaves a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and dear friends.
