Jeremiah Hudson, (also known as Bobby, Jerry and Hut) was born
November 26, 1932 to Virgil and Minerva (Munson) Hudson of
Mangham, Louisiana.
Jeremiah moved from Richland Parish, Louisiana to Chicago, Il at the
age of 13. At age 17 he returned to Rayvillle, Louisiana in Richland
Parish where he met his young love, Lily James and fathered a daughter
named Ruby.
A few years later Jerry moved to Monroe, Louisiana where he met Erma
Lee Swan. To this partnership two children were born, Robert James
and Mairlyn Jean Hudson.
Jerry relocated to the Chicago land area of Chicago Heights and Park
Forest, Ill as "a" twenty something. While there he met and married
Birdie Reed in 1960, and to this marital union he acquired another son,
Willie Reed. Jerry honored and fulfilled his vow of, "Till Death Do Us
Part" on Monday, February 8, 2021.
Jerry held various occupations during his lifetime from bottle washer to
steel worker. Whatever the job, he took pride in his performance. He
was admired by his employers and coworkers during his career.
After retiring he and Birdie relocated to Louise and Yazoo City, MS
respectively. One of his favorite pastimes was as a Nick Picker of others
treasure. He was a lover of people! Chatting, joking and encouraging
each heart along his travels.
Jeremiah's earthly departure leaves behind his wife Birdie; sons, Robert
and Willie; daughters, Ruby and Mairlyn; 7 grandchildren; 7 great
grandchildren; a host of nieces, great-great nephews and cousins from
the Hudson, Munson and Thomas family tree.
Jeremiah also leaves behind a number of close friends that were loyal to
his end, including his 4 legged friend Simon.
The families of Jeremiah Hudson thank you all for your time honored
