Jerry Lee Young was born April 7, 1939 to the late Rosie Coleman and A.B. Young in the Benton Mississippi area.

He attended School at the Yazoo Training School.

Jerry joined the U.S Navy in 1956, leaving his family to make a life for himself.

He later married and welcomed two daughters into his life Terra and Cassandra and made Los Angeles California his home.

He is gone to join his Father, Mother and his oldest brother Dale.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his daughters Terra and Cassandra and grandson Christopher of Los Angeles California. Sister Stella of Inglewood, brother Freddie of Compton, Leon Yazoo Co. and Sister Barbara of Yazoo City. He also leaves his long time companion Nora, his Aunt Helen, his play sister Spelma and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
