John Wayne
Marshall
Sep 28, 1970 — Apr 3, 2021
John Wayne Marshall transitioned to his heavenly home on April 3, 2021
at 50 years young of natural causes in Rock Hill, SC while on business
with his company. He was born on September 28, 1970 in Benton, MS to
loving and hardworking parents. He moved to Texas in 2003 with his wife
for better opportunities. Eventually they settled in Little Elm, Texas in
2012 after purchasing their first home.
John Wayne always said he was a country boy with a big heart. He never
met a stranger or neglected to lend a hand for anyone in need. John was
a jokester with an infectious smile. He was known the most for three
things: his smile, his hugs, and his handshake. If you received any one of
those then you would never forget. John was an honorary father to any
child and had a knack for discipline without raising his voice or hand to
teach a life lesson. John also said his purpose in life was to always
acknowledge all people and listen with all his heart. He will be
remembered and never forgotten.
John gave his life to Christ at an early age and while living in Texas, he
joined New Mount Zion M. B. Church in Dallas. He became a professional
truck driver and after fifteen years, he started his own trucking company
with his wife. John married his high school sweetheart on July 4, 1990.
They both grew up in their marriage together and became a power team
within those thirty plus years.
