Johnnie Minniefield Jr was born on December 21, 1954 to Johnnie Sr and Thelma Minniefield of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Johnnie received his formal education in the Philadelphia, PA public schools. After graduating, he moved to Yazoo City, MS, where he made his home.

Johnnie enjoyed his work life at Unclaimed Freight along with Yazoo Industries in Yazoo City, MS.

Johnnie, known as "Lil Johnny" enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He had a passion for helping others. In his spare time, he offered transportation services for people in town.

Johnnie departed this life on Monday November 15, 2021. He was preceded in death by his father Johnnie Minniefield Sr, sister Gloria Minniefield, sister Vera Turner and nephew Errick Minniefield.

He leaves his precious memories in the minds and hearts of his mother, Thelma Minniefield of Philadelphia, PA; 3 children, Tina Martin (Rodregess) of Gulfport MS; Khadejah Taylor of Ridgeland, MS; and Cedric Armstead of Yazoo City, MS; four grand children Courtney, Rodriguez, Rodtavius and Kameryn; four brothers Jeffrey Turner (Bessie), Clarence Turner (Katrina), Edward Turner and Willie Turner all of Yazoo City, MS; two sisters Helen Minniefield and Ella Minniefield of Philadelphia, PA and a host of nieces nephews relatives and friends.
