Obituary

Jonathon Blake VanCleave was born on December 29, 1989 in Vicksburg, Mississippi at Mercy
Hospital to Wayne Patrick VanCleave, Jr and Stacey Kay Jones-Mistich.
On September 15, 2010, Blake became a father to Kamden Blake VanCleave. Blake was a proud
father and adored Kamden. Over the years Blake realized he had learned more from Kamden
than Kamden had learned from him. Blake's love for Kamden could be seen every time he
spoke of or looked at him. He always knew his greatest accomplishment was his son.
Blake was a talented HVAC technician. He gained his talent from working with his father at a
very young age. He became an accomplished, well known HVAC technician throughout the
area. He enjoyed being his own boss and made many friends through the years with his work.
Blake has never done anything at a slow pace. He never worried about keeping up with anyone
or anything. He just needed the world to keep up with him. He was a free spirit that lived every
day as if it were his last. It seemed that everyone knew him, but those that knew him best were
the ones who could keep up. Darryl, Stephen, Fasa, and Matthew were like brothers to Blake
and have always held a special place in his heart.
Blake enjoyed spending time with Kamden, his friends, and family. He loved and was loved by
everyone he met. Blake always had a smile to light up any room. He had a great love for
motorcycles. His love for the bike grew from the time he was a child with his first dirt bike. He
developed a skill with the bike that was a sight to be seen. If you were trying to describe him to
someone that may not know his name, you would just have to say, "you know the white boy
who is a good jockey." He would always say, "when it's my time to go, I want to go on my bike."
Blake found peace with his last over the last year. He had a spiritual moment and found God.
He said, God knew everything about him, and when God was ready for him, it would be his
time. There have been many challenges that he faced over the last year. He worked really hard
to meet those challenges. Now he is flying high in Heaven.
Blake truly has found peace, his life was fast and fearless, his love was long and hard, his smile
was bright and his laugh was contagious. He will forever be remembered and missed by many.
He will be welcomed into Heaven by his father, Wayne VanCleave, and grandmother, Linda
Winstead. He leaves behind his mother and other dad, Stacey and Troy Mistich, son, Kamden
VanCleave, grandparents, Jimmy and Brenda Jones, Two sisters, Mallory Mistich and Pamela
VanCleave, three aunts, Lynn Brown, Pattie Warren, and Lee Walker, and two uncles Bo Jones
and Chad Jones.
