Marcella Annette Patton Quaynor was born June 23, 1980 to Lorrena and
Tommie Spires and the late Tommie Patton. At an early age, Marcella
committed her life to Christ and joined King Solomon Missionary Baptist
Church, where she was a devoted member of the church's choir and served
until her death.
Marcella attended Yazoo City Public Schools and later obtained her
GED. She later went on to obtain her phlebotomy certification. Marcella will
be remembered most for her love of people, her humor, and her smile that
lit up any room.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her husband, Julius Quaynor; her
mother and father, Lorrena and Tommie Spires; her children Loren
McCullum, Carlos McCullum, Echeverra Spires, Jamarcus Spires, and
Destiny Spires; her grandchildren, Nyla Leak and Kayson Shorter; her
brothers, Roderick (Lakeshia) Fox, Zerrick Edwards, Derrick Patton,
Broderick (Frankie) Patton; her godmother, Rosie McNeal; and a host of
niece, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Her father, Tommie Patton, sister, Meshella Edwards, and her grandparents
preceded her in death.
