Obituary

Michelle Leigh Woodard, affectionally known to many as "Moo", began
her life journey on June 24,1990, to Mr. Willie Gean Harris and the late
Mrs. Lizzie Mae Woodard-Harris in Yazoo, MS.
At a young age, Michelle confessed her life toChrist and was baptized at
Community Baptist M.B. Church.
Michelle attended Woolfolk middle school and graduated from Yazoo
City High School where she was loved by her school's staff, teachers,
and peers.
Michelle was a fun-spirited, friendly, helpful, and caring person that did
not allow her disability to hinder her from enjoying life with fun and
laughter. Michelle loved music, dancing, painting, and spending time with
family. Cookouts were filled with love and enjoyment as Michelle greeted
everyone with smiles and hugs. Her lively and joyful spirit impacted everyone
who knew her best. Michelle loved binge watching Scooby Doo, scary
movies, and her favorite show, Miami Vice. She enjoyedassisting her mother
and siblings in the kitchen preparing her favorite foods. She especially
enjoyed her self- care routine of getting "pretty" with her hair in curls and
colorful dresses.
Michelle was a proud member of the CandleLighter's Organization where
she attended yearly events with peers at the Jackson Zoo, Christmas
Programs, etc.
Michelle will always be remembered by family and friends for her
beautiful and loving smile.
On the morning of February 14, 2022, surrounded by family, Michelle
departed this life to be with her Heavenly Father. She is now reunited
with her mother, Mrs. Lizzie Mae Woodard-Harris, and grandparents Mr.
John Victor Harris, Mrs. Thelma Phillips, Mr. Willie Lee Woodard, and Mrs.
Ivell M. Walker who preceded her in death.
Michelle leaves to cherish her memories a loving father, Mr. Willie
"Nick" Harris, five sisters: Zena Woodard -Priest (Jeramy), Kathy
Woodard, Nekiter Harris, Essence Woodard, Alicia Woodard, and one
brother Dwayne Woodard, all of Yazoo City, MS. Five aunts and four uncles;
Lula Phillips, Bessie Mays (Larry), Vickie Calvin (Rickey), Charles Phillips, LC
Phillips all of Yazoo City; Rosie Jones, Freddie Lee Harris, and Author Harris
of Chicago, IL, and Daisy Trotter of Syracuse, NY and one great-aunt; Mabel
Hill of Yazoo City, MS. Michelle leaves 20 nieces and nephews; LaNedra
Woodard, Zavius Rankin, Oliver Grayson, Zykia Woodard, Nekela, Roberts,
Artarius Bailey, William Roberts, Artavius Bailey, Nykia Woodard, Gabriel
Townsend, Waltrianna Moore, Author L. Bailey IV, Walter Moore Jr.,
Keldarrius Taylor Jr., Jaylan Woodard, Daiton Jones, Kemuel Woodard,
Kenya May, A'Miracle Woodard, and Evelyn Woodard; and one great -niece,
Kennedii Woodard all of Yazoo City, MS. Lasting memories of Michelle will
also remain in the hearts and minds of a host of cousins, other relatives, and
friends.
