let's walk down the path of the journey of life for Minister Robert Hubbard.
Minister Hubbard was born in Benton, Mississippi, on March 3, 1945, to Robert Hubbard Sr.
and Josie Lee Hubbard, both preceded him in death. Robert was the ninth of twelve children.
Minister Hubbard received his early foundation in Christ under the leadership of Reverend J.
J. Butcher at New Mt. Calvary Baptist Church. He later joined and was baptized under the
leadership of Reverend David Coleman Sr. at New Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church. The
importance of having a relationship with Jesus Christ was instilled in him.
Minister Hubbard received formal education in the Chicago Public School System attending
Beale Elementary school he finished at the Lighthouse School for the blind where he learned
various trades.
Minister Hubbard never allowed his disability to handicap him during his life he was one of
the greatest disc jockeys on the south side of Chicago which led to various states competing
in battles; he was also part owner in a mattress company until he answered his calling to
preach the word of God. "He would often jokingly say he use to sop souls now he's saving
souls". Minister Hubbard can always be remembered for his kind acts for helping others.
Minister Hubbard last desire was answered by God when he was reunited with his true love
Ms. Estella Banks they wed on June 5, 2021. He was very happy with his new God given
family.
Minister Hubbard, returned to his heavenly home on December 5, 2021, with his loving wife
by his side, after a long valiant struggle with an illness.
He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife Estella Hubbard, children Joniece Dixon
(Roger), Daemion Hubbard, Antwan Coates (Mia), Denena Crockrom, Jackie Banks
(deceased), Joyce Banks, Toya Banks (deceased), Keesha Banks Tyus, Render Banks
