Nettie B. Moore Fuqua also known as Bernice was born
May 22, 1962 to the union of Barbara Taylor Moore and
Richard H. Moore Sr. She received her education from
Yazoo City High School where she graduated in 1980.
Bernice furthered her education by attending Holmes CC
and receiving an Associates in Business and Cosmetology.
Bernice confessed her life to Christ at an early age and
attending Beulah Lane Baptist Church under the
leadership of Reverend Clark and later moved to the
Family of St. Peters under the leadership of Reverend
Dennis.
Bernice worked her childhood in the family business,
Bersie Davis and later started to work for Home and
Garden Florist. Upon her death, she was employed 18
years for Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, MS.
Bernice was united in holy matrimony to Raymond Fuqua
Sr. in November 1984 and to this union one child was
born, Raymond Fuqua Jr.
Bernice departed her early life on July 25, 2020. Bernice is
preceded in death by her loving parents, Barbara and
Richard Moore Sr.; four brothers, Richard Jr., Robert Sr.,
Wesley and Barney; three sisters in law.
Bernice leaves to cherish her memories: on one son,
Raymond Fuqua Jr., two loving sisters, Barbara F. Moore
and Angeline Alexander; a wonderful sister in law,
Jewelstine Moore; a nephew who was raised as a brother,
Charles Moore; two special friends whom she loved like
sisters, Lettie Kimble and Patricia Johnson; a very special
niece and nephew, Lawanda and Robert Jr.; a special
male friend whom she cared for dearly, Major Anderson;
a loving co
-worker and friend, Sonya Moore.
Bernice also leases to cherish her memories a host of
nieces, nephews, cousins, great nieces, great nephews ad
one great great niece along with a host of friends and co
