Nicholas Antonio
Harrison
Apr 17, 1981 — May 26, 2021
Nicholas Antonio Harrison, affectionately known as Tony, was born April 17, 1981 in Jackson, MS to Ms.
Susan Harrison and Mr. Richard Barton, Jr. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents,
Albert Lee and Rosetta Harrison and his paternal grandfather, Mr. Richard Barton, Sr.
Tony received Christ at an early age and joined Cypress Grove Missionary Baptist Church under the
leadership of Reverend Marvin Adams. He received his education in the Yazoo County School system.
Tony was a very adventurous child, which led him to experiment with tearing things down and
rebuilding them. Ultimately, because of Tony's curiosity to find out how things work, he developed into
a great mechanic. Tony was a great husband, provider, son, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend. Tony
had a great love for family, his cousins were like sisters and brothers. Tony could be counted on for the
many family gathers.
From an early age Tony was a special child who was adored and was taken under the wings of both of
his grandfathers and was taught to work a garden and how to build things.
He was united in Holy Matrimony to Tamara LaShea Henderson, and from that union he gained two
children, Jasmine and Darius Carter and a granddaughter, Dominique who he treated as his very own.
Tony leaves to cherish his beautiful memories his loving and devoted wife, Tamara LaShea Harrison,
who was there by his side every step of the way through this difficult journey; two children, Jasmine
and Darius Carter, one grandchild, Dominique Tillman of Jackson, MS; his mother, Susan Harrison
(Jerry) and his father Richard Barton, Jr.; two brothers: Roderick Harrison of Yazoo City, MS and
Jonathan Harrison of Pickens, MS; a paternal grandmother, Renna Mae Barton of Pickens, MS. He also
leaves a host of special aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
