Nina Jean Williams, affectionately known to many as
"Jeannie" began her life journey on July 27, 1950, to
the late Willie Mae Haines and Johnnie Lee Puckett.
On October 15, 1993, Nina was joined in Holy
Matrimony to Mr. Charlie Williams and to that union
no children were born.
S he was a loving mother and grandmother, that was
always full of joy and fun.
Nina gave her life to Christ at an early age. In 2013 she
joined Zion Travelers M.B. Church under the
leadership of Reverend Gregory Taylor, where she faithfully
served as a mother until her passing under the leadership of
Reverend Vernon Webster.
Nina gained her wings on Thursday, September 9,
2021, at her home, surrounded by family and friends.
She will now be reunited with her mother, father, maternal and
paternal grandparents, along with her brother, Lemon Walker
and daughter Patricia Scott who all preceded her in death.
Nina's precious memories will be forever cherished by
her loved ones. She leaves behind her husband,
Charlie Williams, three daughters, Tina Gordon of Victorville,
CA, Linda Scott (Lloyd) of Yazoo City, MS, Shirley Jones
(Qornell) of Jackson, MS, one son, Jamie Scott of Yazoo City,
MS, a loving special daughter that she loved as her very own
Keyla Fleming of Yazoo City, MS, ten grandchildren, ten great
-grandchildren, two sisters, Clara Johnson of Victorville, CA
and Bobbie Philopot of Apple Valley, CA and a host of nieces,
other relatives, and friends.
Nina held a special place in her heart for a very special
cousin Priscilla Langston, her best friend, Nora Lee
Taylor, and a special friend, Teresa Fry. Nina will always be
remembered by family and friends for her beautiful and loving
smile.
