Oliver Lee
Williams Jr.
Apr 1, 1960 — May 15, 2021
Oliver Lee Williams, Jr.
1960 - 2021
Oliver Lee Williams Jr. was born April I, 1960 to the late Oliver Lee Williams, Sr. and Mammie Rucker Williams of Benton, .MS, both whom proceeded him in death.
Oliver attended services at Silver Mount Baptist Church. As time grew, he later accepted Christ at Helping Hands Ministry in Yazoo City, MS, where he was a devoted member. He held the place of being a Deacon in training and also served in finances. Oliver had a special love for his Pastor, Perry Hudson. Oliver attended Yazoo County Public Schools in Benton, MS. He was employed by his first job in 1977 at the Coco-Cola Company in Yazoo City, MS. He later became employed at Gulf State Canners located in Clinton, MS in April of 1993, where he was a devoted employer until his health began to decline. Soon after, he retired after serving dutifully for 20 years.
Oliver also known as "Head", was generous, humble, loving, and very openhearted. He was a taxi without a title. Oliver didn't meet a stranger, if you needed help, he was right there to extend a helping hand. He took great pleasure in helping within the community when it was time to vote by transporting elders and individuals that needed transportation to the polls. Oliver loved his family and found comfort in being on "Facetime" with his grandchildren. He had his own special way in expressing his love for his family. One of many was simply waking up early in the morning preparing breakfast while shouting through the house waking everyone up to come eat while the food was hot.
Oliver leaves to cherish his loving memory a devoted "WIFE", Evelyn Winters-Williams of thirty one years, who cared for him and "NEVER" left his side until he departed his earthly body.
Oliver is survived by his daughter, Toni Winter, (JB Jones), Aubrey, TX; three sons: Oliver Lee (Markita) Winters, Irving, TX; Clarence (Kenyetta) Winters, Irving, TX; Terrence Winters, Yazoo City, MS; five grandchildren: Journei Jones. O'Neisha Freeman, Aubrey, TX; Kordell Francis, La'niya Francis, Camari Winters, Irving, TX; one sister, Rose Williams-Martin, Yazoo City, MS; three brothers, Robert Williams (Shirley), Louis James Clark, Yazoo City, MS; Jessie James Henderson, Benton, MS; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends
