Otha Lee Moore was born May 11, 1963 in Silver City, Mississippi to Mary A. Moore and late Tommy Moore.
Otha attended Silver City Public School in his early years. Family moved to Yazoo City, Mississippi. Where he
attended Yazoo City Public School.
Otha was preceded in death by his father Tommy Moore, two brothers Willie B. Moore and James Earl
Moore. Otha was a loving, caring, and funny Son, Brother, Father, Uncle, Grandfather, and Friend who love
to make everyone smile.
We will cherish the special joy that Otha filled in our lives. We take comfort in knowing that he is in a better
place. We thank God that we have so many memories to cherish and reflect on. Precious memories will
forever linger in the hearts and minds of all who knew and loved him.
Those left to cherish his memories are his loving mother Mary A. Moore three sons, Otha and Nate Gilmore,
David Young one daughter (Marilyn Gilmore). Twelve grandchildren; Othavian, Addison, Dakari, Otha Jr.,
Maddisyn, Makayla, Brandy, Jamann, Dalin, Billy and Amena. Yazoo City Three sisters, Martha Jean, (Willie)
Benford, Mary (Judge) Weekly, Lelia B. Moore, Yazoo City. Four brothers Tommie Lee Moore, Christopher
Moore, Yazoo City. Johnny Grayson Indianola, MS and (Larry Grayson) Belzoni, MS. A host of aunts, uncles,
nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Closest friend Lee Jackson Very special friend Sharon Cathey.
