Obituary

Robert Earl Jones was a husband, provider, father, and friend. He
fell asleep in death at his home on January 10, 2022. He was born
December 2, 1957, to Margarite and Robert Jones in Yazoo City,
Mississippi. He was preceded in death by his father and mother
Margarite and Robert Jones and brother Bobbie Lee Jones.
He was one of four children born on December 2, 1957, in Yazoo
City, Mississippi. He attended Cedar Falls School in Yazoo City,
Mississippi.
Robert married his devoted wife, Lottie on December 2, 1979.
They just celebrated their 42nd anniversary. He relied on his wife
to take care of most of the family affairs. When things would come
up he would always say: "I'll let my wife take care of that."
He was a hard worker and can repair anything. He drove farm
equipment for a living. Robert also repaired small engines and sold
them. He continued to do this until his passing. He liked to stay
busy.
Robert loved fishing, barbecuing, and planting gardens. He would
plant a garden of different vegetables and give it all away except the
tomatoes. He liked tomatoes.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Lottie Jones, three sons:
Elton Sneed (Connie) of Dallas, Texas; Robert Jermaine Jones of
Yazoo City, and Derrick Jones (Kim) of Clinton, Mississippi; two
daughters Demeka Jones of Memphis, Tennessee; and Pretrina
Sneed of Arlington, Texas; a special granddaughter whom he
raised as his own Daniljah Jones of Memphis, Tennessee; his sister
Dorothy Glispie of St. Louis, Missouri; his brother James Morton
(Julia) of Chicago, Illinois; a special uncle Otis King of Tampa,
Florida; three sisters-in-law who were like his sisters: Vickie
Wilson, Katheline Banks, and Flora Mae Jones; twenty-three
grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren and a host of
nephews, nieces, family, and friends. He will be greatly missed.
