Sullivan Jerome Blackmon III, lovingly known as Meat Head, was born on January 11, 2006, in Jackson,
MS to Michelle Harris and Isiah Sanders. He was the ninth of eleven children.
Sullivan was a member of Greater Harvest M.B. Church, where he was baptized and became a Christian
in late 2012.
Meat Head was a loving and caring child, especially to his younger cousins King, Punn and Xae, he
showed so much love and affection towards them and they did the same in return. He loved to make his
family laugh with jokes and reenactments of movies and funny situations, he was a true comedian. He
was an athlete and he loved sports, he played basketball for a local team in Jackson, and he was a big
New Orleans Saints fan. He was a mentee of the 100 Black Men of Jackson Incorporation, where he was
taught to face obstacles head-on to achieve his goals in life. Meat Head was a "jack of all trades" his
talents and skills were limitless.
Sullivan is preceded in death by his mother, Michelle Harris and grandfather Sullivan Jerome Blackmon
II.
Meat Head leaves to cherish his two grandmothers and a grandfather, Betty Ann Blackmon, Janet Dean
Sanders and Sam Cobbins; three aunts, Ruth Sanders (Daniel Sanders-Garga), Jowharah Sanders, and
Janet (Lil' Janet) Sanders and his uncle Chinyelu Sanders; three sisters, Twyetra, Ar'moni and Makayla;
seven brothers, Nissan, Malachi, Raheem, QuaShawn, Ya'moni, Emmanuelle, and Malcolm all of Jackson,
MS; several nieces, nephews and a host of loving cousins.
