Sylvester "Big Six" Washington was born on May 19, 1959 in Benton, Mississippi. He was the second born child to Roosevelt Washington and Irene Lofton Washington.
He departed this earthly life on September 13, 2021 when our Lord and Savior called him home to eternal rest.
Sylvester was preceded in death by siblings, Samuel Earl Washington and Jerry Washington; his paternal grandparents, Alfred and Bessie Washington; and his maternal grandparents, Frank and Annie Lofton.
Sylvester enjoyed spending time with family, fishing with his parents, playing catch, making special requests each year for very specific Christmas gifts, and watching his favorite shows on television. He was quite the talker once he got to know you.
Sylvester was unique and special in every way. He was special to his parents, Roosevelt and Irene, who've looked after him so well over the years. He was special to all of his siblings and to the whole family who loves him dearly. His big smile was contagious. His heart and soul were always with and shall forever be with our God Almighty.
Sylvester leaves behind to cherish his memories: his loving and devoted parents, Roosevelt and Irene Washington; two brothers, Roosevelt (Deloris) Washington, Jr. of Yazoo City, MS and Alvin (Jennifer) Washington of Jackson, MS; three sisters, Jennifer (Larry) W. Little of Jackson, MS, Darlene Washington of Yazoo City, MS and Yourhonda Washington of Jackson, MS, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
