-A TIME TO BE BORN-
Tracy Antwon Thompson was born on October 27, 1983. He was the oldest of three children born to Lorene Thompson and the late Douglas Walker. He was born and raised in Canton, MS. He received his formal education in the Canton Public School System. Tracy was united in holy matrimony to Jennifer Thompson on March 7, 2014. He joined Water Grove A.M.E church under the leadership of Pastor Edwin Bryan Mullens in 2017. He worked for Peco Foods in Canton, MS for several years and was recently employed with Westminster in Pearl, MS.
-A TIME TO LIVE-
Tracy was a loving, caring and devoted husband, father and friend. His wife was his world and family meant everything to him. Tracy loved to play basketball with his nephews and best friends. Tracy also enjoyed playing video games with his grandson. He had a loving and playful spirit that captured the heart of all who knew him. He loved to cook and entertain his family. Family time was the best time and Tracy was always "up to it" and "down" for whatever.

On the early pre-dawn morning of Wednesday, August 18, 2021 Tracy Antwon Thompson departed from his earthly home to his eternal rest. His grandmothers Nora Jan Butler and Mary Lee Mayfield, aunts Melantha Walker and May Pearl Jackson preceded him in death. Tracy is survived by his loving wife Jennifer Thompson, Vaughan, MS; mother Lorene Thompson; Godmother Annie Mae Harmon, two sisters Lisa Thompson (Fredrick Green) and Theresa Thompson (Leo Brown), all from Canton, MS; daughter Sadie McNair of New Hebron, MS; stepdaughter Kirsten Moorehead and three-step grandkids Khristien, Khaleigh, and Khi'andre all from Benton, MS; and mother-in-law Ethel Mae Hudson of Vaughan, MS. Tracy will be especially missed by his two best friends Marcus Hudson and Brian Crogier of Vaughan, MS, four nieces; Jamecia, Melantha, Jamiyah, and Ah'niya; one nephew James Holeman, six uncles, four aunts, and a host of relatives, in laws, and friends.
