Obituary

Una Lynn Clark Bell, age 60, transitioned from this earthly world into
eternal life on Tuesday, June 14, 2021 in Jackson, Mississippi. Una Lynn
was born to Ivory Clark, Jr. & Louisa (nee Price) Clark on March 19, 1961
in Gary, IN.
Una accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and loved to sing gospel as
loudly and off key as possible. Her faith in God kept her strong as she
battled health struggles in the last year. Una graduated from Martin Luther
King Academy in 1986. She worked as a cashier at Family Foods from 1997
– 2007 in Gary, IN before relocating to Austin, TX. She received her
Medical Assistant Certificate in 2008 in Austin, TX.
Una loved life and lived it fully and without apology. If you ever crossed
her path, she always had a smile and a word that would make you laugh.
If you were lucky enough, you were blessed with a piece of her amazing
fried chicken. Una was love personified; she touched the lives of everyone
she met in a special way. She was known to give her last to anyone in
need.
She is preceded in death by her loving father, Ivory Clark Jr; her sister
Bessie Mae Holowell and her brother Gary Verdell Clark.
Everyone knew Una's daughter and five grandchildren were her world. She
loved spending time outside with the kids engaging in water fights and
watching them attempt to play hopscotch. Una relaxed by coloring, playing
a game of Skip-Bo with her daughter, watching the western channel or
reading.
She will be lovingly remembered by her mother, Louisa Clark, stepmother
Shirley Ann Clark, her daughter Dawnyalynn Ivey, her precious
grandchildren, Peyton Clark, David John, Adam Charles, Maxwell Ivory and
Rachael Grace. Her sisters Shirley (Jackie) Ayers, Patricia (Willie) Smith,
Bamrynae Clark Trimble, Natalie Clark, her brother Jonathan Sanders,
stepsister Tonda Collier, special nieces Lawanda (Zuriell) Hampton, Jujuana
(Ziakaree) Howard and Stanethia (Joshua) Miller, best friends Gwen Dumas
and Mohammad Suboh and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
