"For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of
glory; While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things
which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal."(2 Corinthians 14: 17-18)

A TIME TO BE BORN

Walter Izell Gainwell, Jr., a gift of light and love, was born August 4, 1992, the only son born to
the union of Mr. Walter Izell Gainwell, Sr., and the late Mrs. Cynthia Nushelle Johnson-Gainwell.

A TIME TO PLANT AND HARVEST

From a child, Walter (aka Lil Walter), was given back to God by his parents. As he grew older, Lil
Walter confessed a developing faith in God and was baptized into the fellowship of Christian
believers, and was baptized at Antioch M.B. Church, under the pastoral leadership of Reverend
Walter Williams. Lil Walter attained his formal education from the Yazoo City Municipal Separate
School System and graduated with the 2010 Senior Class of Yazoo City High School, where, during
his high school tenure, he lettered as a varsity baseball player under the coaching tutelage of the late
Gerald Peyton. Upon completion of his high school career, Lil Walter furthered his educational
matriculation at Rust College, an HBCU, located in Holly Springs, Mississippi. It was during his
collegiate years that Lil Walter became a young father when he welcomed his son and namesake,
Walter Izell (Tre) Gainwell III into the world.

A TIME TO DIE

On Thursday October 1, 2020, God summoned Lil Walter home from labor to reward by granting
him eternal rest in his bosom. At the time of his life's sunset, Lil Walter was a ranch hand at Shady
Trell Ranch in Jacksboro, Texas. Lil Walter traversed the rivers of life to now stand upon the
golden celestial shores of Heaven's grandeur, in joyous reunion with those beloved family members
who made life's transition before him, including his mother, Cynthia Nushelle Johnson-Gainwell and
his grandparents, Nehema and Eugene W. Johnson, Sr., and Girtrude and Leo Gainwell, Sr. To
cherish his enduring memory that leaves an indelible imprint upon every life he encountered along
this earthly sojourn, Lil Walter leaves: two children, Walter Izell "Tre" Gainwell III (mother
Rueishun Ellis) and Cynthia Renee Gainwell (mother Keisha Prior) both of Yazoo City, MS; bonus
daughter, Paris Mo'Na Prior (Yazoo City, MS); (father, Walter Izell Gainwell, Sr. (Yazoo City, MS);
five (5) siblings, Lawanda Sharee Jackson (Jackson, MS), Jennifer Cox-Henderson (Madison, MS),
Fletcher Cox (Mullica Hills, NJ), Fantasia Cox (Madison, MS) and Destiny Gainwell (Starkville, MS);
nephews, Shadrick TJai Cox, Jaden Cox and Messiah Gainwell; nieces, Keyonna Cox, Ashlyn Cox,
Jade Cox and Journey Cox; aunts, Willie Jean (Carl) Johnson, NeKather (Tonmmy) Irvine, Carolyn
Miles, Janice Lewis, Dorothy (Willie) White, Alice Austin, Devvie Sheppard-Smith and Earnice
Sheppard; uncles, Eugene Johnson, Jr., David Johnson, James Gainwell and David Gainwell, Sr.; and
