  • Yolanda Rochelle Ellis Bell was born May 21, 1982 to Herbert Ellis and Dorothy Ellis White.
    Yolanda was affectionately called "Tweety" and "Tweet" by family members and friends.
    Yolanda accepted Christ at an early age,
    while a member of the Mount Pleasant
    UMC, Gravel Hill Community in Fayette,
    MS under the leadership of Rev. Dwight
    Prowell.Yolanda began her education
    in the Jefferson County School District in
    Fayette, MS. During Yolanda's eight grade
    year her parents moved to Yazoo City, MS.
    Yolanda became a member of King
    Solomon M.B.C. in Yazoo City, MS where
    she served faithfully until her death.
    Yolanda graduated with the Yazoo City
    High School Class of 2000. Immediately
    after graduation,Yolanda enlisted in the
    Army National Guard until 2002 and was medically discharged. In 2005 she graduated
    from Alcorn State University with a Bachelor of Science in Advanced Technology; In 2014
    she graduated with a Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Management from
    Saint Leo University and on Friday, May 13, 2022 she received her Master of Education in
  • Secondary Education from William Carey University
    posthumously.Yolanda was not one to sit still, she was
    always on the move. Yolanda was making preparations
    to continue her educational endeavors with a Ph.D. in
    Business Administration.
    Before accepting the call as an educator with the Yazoo
    City High School,Yolanda was a technician at Nissan
    North America Canton, MS for ve years; she was also an
    independent consultant for Rodan + Fields; Vida-Divina
    and an entrepreneur of Twee-Tees N Thangz a custom
    tee-shirt design and print business. She enjoyed spending
    time with her family and friends.Yolanda courageously
    shared her illness and chronicled her journey on social
    media where she received a wealth of support and love. If
    love would have been a determining factor of her residing
    here on earth, then Yolanda would still be here, but the
    heavenly angels called Yolanda home on Monday, May
    9, 2022 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, MS. She was
    preceded in death by her maternal grandparents: Lee
    "Bubba" and Nora Oneal; her paternal grandparents:
    DeWitt Ellis, Sr., Margaret Taylor, Rev. Edmon Jackson and
    Josephine Jackson and Godfather Brian Joseph, Sr. Her
    aunts: Jo Ann Fleming and Thelma Fleming Riggs (Kenny)
    also preceded Yolanda in death.
    She leaves to cherish her memories, her loving and devoted
    parents: Herbert and Loretta Ellis, Larry and Dorothy White,
    her beautiful daughters: Christen Ja'Nya Wolfe and Charity
    Grace Bell; her brothers: Jamie Fleming, Anthony Ellis and
    Marvin Ellis; her sisters: Ariel White and Etoya James; Godmother:
    Jeanette Joseph; Godsister: Bria Joseph; Godbrother: Brian
    Joseph, Jr. Her Aunts: Teresa Frye, Jeanette Joseph, LeNora
    Ellis, Courtney Bailey, Cora Jackson-Holland, and Donna
    Horton. Her Uncles: Samuel (LeAnn) Fleming, Larry (Ja'Nell)
    Fleming, Carl Conway, Dewitt Ellis, Jr., Charles Hutcherson,
    Daniel White, Carl Jackson, Ricky Jackson and Edmon
    Jackson. Yolanda was raised with her cousins as siblings
    and they will also cherish her memories: Edward (Trina)
    Fleming, Pamelia Fleming Clark, Yolanda (Doug) Fleming
    Nichols, Giovanni (Fomeka) Fleming, Sharon O'Neal, Jarvis
    Riggs, Kenisha Ellis and Christopher Luster. She also leaves
    behind numerous special sisters, special brothers, special
    uncles, special aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, classmates
    and friends.
